Are Adornus cabinets framed or frameless?

Frameless, with one exception. Essential, Designer and Alusso are full-access 3/4" plywood boxes with full-overlay doors — more usable interior and a cleaner modern look. Metropolitan is the single framed line, a white shaker kept in stock. Adornus does not offer inset; for inset we show Shiloh, Great Northern, Plain & Fancy and Crystal.

How long do Adornus cabinets take?

Metropolitan white shaker is stocked and ready to go. Essential ships assembled in roughly two to three weeks in Pure White, Natural Stain and White Oak, three to four weeks in a Color-Up paint colour. Designer is semi-custom; ask your designer for the current lead time. Everything comes through the East Windsor, NJ distribution centre.

Which Adornus colours can I get?

Twenty Sherwin-Williams colours on Designer (and on Essential through Color-Up): from High Reflective White, Pure White and Alabaster through Accessible Beige, Light French Gray, Repose Gray and Mindful Gray to Sea Salt, Roycroft Bottle Green, Naval, Urbane Bronze, Iron Ore and Tricorn Black — plus Natural Stain and White Oak, and fifteen textured and four gloss or super-matte fronts on Alusso.

What is inside an Adornus cabinet?

Plywood boxes, dovetailed solid-wood drawer boxes, under-mount soft-close glides and six-way adjustable soft-close hinges on every line. Designer adds CARB Phase II 3/4" plywood, SALICE hardware, hardwood mortise-and-tenon doors and a two-part conversion-varnish finish.

About Adornus

Adornus Cabinetry has specialised in frameless, full-access cabinetry since 2007. Cabinets are built in its own 349,000-square-foot plant in Lancaster, South Carolina, and reach us from the Northeast distribution centre in East Windsor, New Jersey. Four series cover the range: Metropolitan, a framed white shaker kept in stock; Essential, the quick-ship frameless line — 3/4" plywood boxes, shaker doors in Pure White, Natural Stain and White Oak, SoHo slab doors, and a Color-Up program of twenty paints; Alusso, the European modern line built on the Capri box (plywood wrapped in Italian White Linen laminate, handleless GOLA channel optional) with fifteen textured wood-look and four gloss or super-matte fronts; and Designer, the semi-custom frameless line with all eight door styles, twenty Sherwin-Williams colours plus White Oak, width, height and depth modifications and SALICE soft-close hardware. Every line has plywood boxes, dovetailed solid-wood drawer boxes, under-mount soft-close glides and six-way adjustable soft-close hinges. Adornus sells only through dealers.

Why we carry it

Adornus gives us a frameless kitchen at two price points from one maker: Essential in stock in two to three weeks for a white, natural or white-oak shaker, and Designer when the customer wants a Sherwin-Williams colour, an ogee or a double shaker on a full-access box — plus Alusso for a true European slab look without a European lead time.
