Rift white oak kitchen with an arched niche
A full rift-white-oak kitchen in Shiloh's Scottsdale door, stained Straw, wrapped around an arched oak niche over the sink. Calacatta quartz, a ten-foot island and a 48-inch Wolf range.
About this kitchen
The homeowners wanted warmth without heaviness: a wood kitchen that still read light and modern. Rift-cut white oak does exactly that — the straight, quiet grain takes a pale Straw stain evenly, so the whole room reads as one material.
The arch is the move everyone asks about. The sink wall was framed as an oak alcove with a true curved head, finished in the same stain so the arch, the hood surround and the island all match. Behind it, a soft gray zellige-style tile keeps the window wall calm.
The island is 10 feet long with a full-height end panel, counter seating for four and the dishwasher and trash pull-out on the working side. Pendants, pot filler and pulls are all brushed brass.
